Day 1
Muscat - Jebel Akhdar
08:00 AM – Pick-up from Muscat Hotel Meet your driver-guide at your hotel in Muscat and begin your scenic drive toward the interior mountains of Oman. 10:30 AM – Stop at Birkat Al Mouz Village (Approx. 1 hr 45 mins drive) Visit the beautiful oasis village of Birkat Al Mouz, located at the base of the mountains. Explore its lush date plantations, old village ruins, and walk along the Falaj irrigation channels (part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites). 11:30 AM – Continue Drive to Jebel Akhdar (Approx. 45 mins – 4WD mandatory beyond the checkpoint) Begin your ascent up the Jebel Akhdar mountain range, known as the “Green Mountain,” with cooler temperatures and breathtaking scenery. 12:30 PM – Explore Jebel Akhdar Highlights Visit scenic spots such as Diana’s Point, with panoramic views of deep canyons and terraced villages. Optionally walk through Al Ayn or Al Aqur villages, famous for roses and pomegranates. 02:00 PM – Optional Lunch at a local resort or picnic-style 03:30 PM – Drop-off at Jebel Akhdar Hotel Arrive at your hotel in Jebel Akhdar and check in for overnight stay.
Day 2
Jebel Akhdar - Muscat
Depart from your hotel in Jebel Akhdar and begin your journey towards Muscat with a cultural stop in Nizwa. Explore the iconic Nizwa Fort, a symbol of Omani heritage, and wander through the lively Nizwa Souq, known for its silver jewelry, pottery, and spices. Continue to the picturesque village of Birkat Al Mauz, where you can stroll through lush date plantations and admire the ancient falaj irrigation system. After a day of discovery, continue your drive back to Muscat through scenic mountain and valley landscapes.
