Sumhuram Archaeological Site (Visit): Continue to the ancient ruins of Sumhuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, historically known as Khorkhori. This important port city once played a central role in the frankincense trade. Walk through the excavated remains and take in views of the Khor Rori creek below. Drive to Mirbat: Head further east toward the historic town of Mirbat, known for its old merchant houses built in traditional Dhofari style.
